United Pentecostal Church, Mendota, IL

Rev. Charles Yeakel has been a licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International since 1977. He and his wife Devra have pastored several other churches in Illinois previously - Auburn, Rochelle, and Oak Valley (Ramsey). They have served the Mendota congregation as pastor since 2004, and also served here earlier as assistant pastor and co-pastor for eleven years. The Yeakels’ plan to retire at the end of November this year.

Rev. Tim & Polly Koonce have served our church since September 2021 as assistant pastor. Besides helping conduct services, Tim is the main Adult Class teacher. They are a great blessing to our church family! In November of 2025 they were elected to be the next pastor of our great church. They will assume this role in December of this year.

Emilio is a graduate of Indiana Bible College and with his wife, Mia, leads our youth ministry, ages 12-18. They also teach the Youth Class during Christian Education and lend their talents with music ministry. In addition, Emilio preaches, teaches, and helps as a service leader. We are blessed to have them with us! 

Randy and Pat have been a part of our congregation since January of 2008. Randy, who is a licensed UPCI minister, serves as an Adult Class teacher and, along with his wife, serves as Senior Saints Director. Pat is also the Special Events Coordinator. They have been a great blessing to our church!
